LA 400 Principles and Theoretical Perspectives On Parenting
This course examines the reciprocal interactions between parent and child from birth to adulthood including consideration of cross-cultural, historical and societal influences and various family characteristics. The principles and theoretical foundations of parent-child relationships will be explored, including establishing and maintaining a nurturing relationship between parents and children, and parent-child communication. Current issues affecting parenting are also studied. LA- 243
